Natures' moment

When I am in the "west wing" of the MR department, my desk faces a large window, outside are very over grown rhodies. Amongst the rhodies a covy of quail were playing around. Am torn between admiration for the very pretty birds and the fact that I know they taste delicious. That would be carnivore coming to the fore.

I just like the looks of them. We have a huge covey of them in the neighborhood. They wander around and make noise, the boys go apeshit. I don't think I ever ate one before, had pheasant once. Spit out some buckshot, rather unpleasant that.

I have eaten two pheasant in my life, one was shot by Mike Dougherty, well peppered with buckshot and the otherone was a bird that was hand raised in a pen use to train dogs to point pheasant, THAT was a delicous bird.
