Demolition

In accordance with the CVH social media policy I must post that it is a HUD project and that the opinions expressed on this blog are my own and not that of CVH itself.  So there, posted. In tiny font, and a pale shade of blue, enjoy!

This is a picture that shows where the emergency entrance portico once existed.  It was um, disassembled a couple days ago.  I think the ambulance drivers got pretty good maneuvering between the poles to park their vehicles to off load their patients.  At least it kept the rain off when it wasn't raining sideways. The new entrance is inside the ground floor with covered parking right next to the elevators going up to the emergency room.  There is, indeed, an upper emergency room entrance but most of the time they will be using the garage entrance unless multiple ambulances have made a run at the same time.

Well!

Per the recent social medial policy, I am not allowed to post pictures of the hospital unless there are no people in the picture and additionally I must clearly state that this is a HUD project and that any opinions expressed are that of the blogger and not that of the hospital.

This is a picture I snapped of the upper portico drive through at the hospital, very beamish and redwood looking.  They will get the ends sawed off evenly. I do hope they don't paint it and allow it to weather naturally.   So pretty.

Worky worky continues apace,  new clerk started Tuesday and there is actually a slight dent in the loose filing boxes...yes I said BOXES.

I actually tried wearing...shudder...dresses or suits all week long.  I have enough dresses for a couple of weeks actually, one of them is a little frock I sewed in 1985 for a convention in Denver. No one actually laughed at me when I told them how old it was.  I am pleased because it FITS.  However, I must adjust in the shoe department.  I only have about four pair of shoes that are comfortable and fit.  Must clean out shoes.  Size 7 to 8 depending on the style y'know.

Jody, I really enjoyed the clip you posted the Pep band from Elkton really rocks!  Thanks.

Visitors

Spent a very pleasant Saturday afternoon with family who visited.
They were here to participate in the Pep band for a regional high school basketball tournament.  They drove down from 90 miles north and the other team drove even farther the long way around from near Roseburg because highway 42 was CLOSED this weekend so the engineers could stabilize a rather largish mudslide area.

We got pizza and I gave them a short tour of the build site for the hospital.  They were much impressed, "How big is this thing?"

"Eighteen beds."

"Looks more like a hundred bed hospital."

Hmmm, well we do have a lot of enclosed parking, that might be used as......nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!  Wow!  Husband had fun going to Grimm's flowers and filling his bud vases with gorgeous smelling red roses.  We got out the crystal roses and silver vase to join them.

After I got home there was a knock on the door. The delivery man from Grimm's handed me a very pretty Valentines Bouquet from Charles, Leslie and Anthony!  So, pretty,Thank you.

Library project continues apace....

Allrighty then, whiled away part of Saturday morning, adding
books to my bookcollectorz program and adding to physical shelves.  The folding shelf in the middle top and to the right are new ones and are now sadly FULL.  I still have seven boxes to put somewhere.   Hmm might have to eyeball the upstairs hallway.

Have realized that I cannot continue to bounce back and forth schizophrenically from boss desk to my desk.  So have had some technical help to get some stuff transferred across the hall.  If things come about we may have a new medical record clerk in addition to our temp hire file clerk.  It will still be a squeeze with everyone in attendance not to mention the nurses and office personnel who come down occasionally.  Somebody open a window!!

Oooh Look! The Putty Putty truck was here.

The gentlemen in galoshes were about smoothing the wet cement for the nifty new sidewalk.

And we didn't even get a chance to sneak out and sign our names in the wet cement.

Also went out to our favorite Italian place for New York Steak with Gorgonzola sauce and cioppino (spelling?)

Also got to sit in on a group interview for a couple of people being considered either for housekeeping or medical records.  Met some nice people.
