Yep those are blue berries all righty!

Husband is farm-sitting for a friend for awhile and amongst the goats and chickens grows a garden and a patch of blue berries. I was gifted with a pint of the things and while they are beautiful, I wasn't sure what to do with them. Hated to waste them in jam. Don't wanna make blue berry pancakes. So I decided to fake a recipe of blueberry muffins.

I dragged out the Bisquick box and could only find a recipe for short cake on it.
Um, okay 2 1/3 cups Bisquick mix..Got that.
1/3 cup milk, got it.
1 tsp vanilla. yep.
3 tsp melted butter. Yeah but I'm not going to melt it.
1/2 cup sugar.

I elected to toss in two eggs and after all the non fruit ingredients were in, I diced up a stick of butter and tossed that in.
Pint of blueberries,gently fold.
1/2 cup walnuts. Like wise fold gently unless you would like blueberry puree muffins.

Spoon into muffin tins lined with paper cup things.
Heat oven 425 degrees, bake muffins for 12 minutes.
Um, looked like they could use an extra five minutes so make that 17 minutes.
Turn out on a rack, cool, munch with a glass of milk.
The paper cups were saturated from the butter, so you really could cut back on the butter quite nicely. Tastes pretty good, though.

Note to self;
we need milk in order to consume muffins and
an onion for the three bean salad for Saturday!

So that was pretty lame, what would you do with a pint of blueberries?
Remember this is a family rated blog spot.

blue berries....place in small baking dish...top with apple crisp topping{oatmeal, flour, brown sugar,butter-till it makes large crumbs} bake at three 50 till bubbly. top with vanilla ice cream.
blueberries, add a bit of sugar till it gets some syrup, and have it with sponge cake or angels food.
blue berries, place in blender, add some yogurt, some honey,a dash of milk or orange juice and let er rip...yummy.
