Those of us who live in Oregon and who paid income tax to the state in 2006 actually got a kick back check this week. Yep, believe it or not a law was enacted a few years ago that stated that when the state receives 2% more than projected revenues they have to return taxes to the citizens. Works great when they are NOT making money. This week the State had to cough up taxes to us tax payers. Yay! Not much but a nice meal out in our case.

It is bonus check time here. We were told if we had made any overtime it would reflect on the check....to the good.

We have gathered goodies for a deserving family at work. I contributed a duvet cover for a queen size bed and a brand new unopened bottle of Tide-like clothes washing detergent. Now I get to go shopping for a new bed in a bag thing. Yay!

Did you pay taxes to Oregon in year 2006? Then you should have gotten something. You can google "kicker check" and find out more. Other than that, be sure and have a good forwarding address.
I just heard something tonight about some people not getting their kicker check because the tax preparer's checked off the refund to do to education but those folks DID get a letter 'splaining it.
