COQUILLE DIARY DECEMBER 2001:
Well I reviewed my print version and decided to make one or two comments.
We received a "kicker" check from State of Oregon in the amount of $138.00. I don't really understand it but sometime in 1980's they passed law to return part of the taxes to tax payers if something exceeded 2%T of something. No idea. But here it was in the mail. It isn't the Dividend Fund from Alaska but it did make Christmas Dinner a bit less spendy.
Other nifty news is that Edna has granted bonuses as a parting gift when she leaves her position as CEO. Full time employees will receive 400 dollars, part time employees will receive 200 dollars. All righty then, buy a couple frozen turkeys.
We met with the new CEO, Dennis Zielinski, we will probably call him Mr. Z and he and his family are between homes at the moment. He is staying in a room at the local no tell motel and having visited our contract coder who has stayed there, I do not envy him the size of the shower. Erk.
I made fruit cake and mailed one to Mom. She may use it as either a doorstop or paperweight.
Christmas I didn't feel like wrestling a turkeyl so I made meatloaf baked on top of a very dry stuffing and the combination turned out very nicely.
Also got a small check from BUECI in the amout of 15 dollars. Thank you Barrow!
Merry, merry.
G'night folks.
